Greg Chappell (AO, MBE, PhD) is one of Australia’s most celebrated and enduring cricketing legends. Having played 87 Test matches for Australia, 48 times as captain, Greg retired from International cricket holding the record for most runs scored in a Test match, and surpassed the great Donald Bradman for most runs in Australian Test cricket (7,110).
Greg was honoured by the Queen in 1979 with an MBE for services to cricket, named Wisden Leading Cricketer of the year in 1979, was inducted into the Australian Sport Hall of fame in 1986 and most recently was awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2021.
Since retiring Greg has remained active in world cricket under-taking board, selector and coaching roles with the Australian Cricket Board, the Australian Cricket Team, South Australia, Pakistan and India.
More recently Greg devotes a significant amount of his time and energy on public speaking engagements, television, and journalism covering both sport and business, and with the Chappell Foundation raising money and awareness for the plight of youth homelessness.
Greg has several distinct presentations designed to suit specific audiences, occasions and formats. One focused on leadership and the lessons learned by the Australian Cricket Board as the sport underwent the growing pains of professionalism. Another; the lessons he himself learnt from the “Underarm”- how and why it happened, and what it meant to the future of cricket. And for sporting occasions, his personal take on todays game set against the back-drop of his own experiences and anecdotes. All can be delivered remotely by video or in person at client offices, conference centres or off-site retreats.
